Any occasion, any headcount

We can cater any size event in Rhode Island.

Rogue On The Rhode isn't a separate business — it's the same kitchen, the same Chef Ryan Bessette, rolling to you. Whatever the occasion, whatever the headcount, we'll build a menu and a plan to make it memorable for years to come.

Where to find us

These days, the truck works private.

Private bookings keep Rogue On The Rhode busy, so public stops are rare. Weddings, corporate lots, graduations, and backyard parties are the ones people ask about most — but we've fed film sets, fundraisers, church picnics, tailgates, and plenty of things that don't have a name yet. If you can park us there, we can cook it. When we do roll out in public, The Rogue List hears about it first; sign up in the footer.

  • Corporate lunches & office parks
  • Late-night & after-hours
  • Brewery collabs & taproom takeovers

Planning a spot for us: what the truck needs on site

The essentials below cover most venues. Every space still has its own quirks, so we confirm the specifics with you before the date — not after; tell us about parking and power in the booking form (there's a dedicated field for truck settings) and we'll walk through the rest.

  • Power: one standard 120-volt, 10-amp outlet within reach of where we park. No outlet on site? We can run on our generator for a small additional fee — we just prefer shore power when it's available, since it runs the truck more efficiently.
  • Space: the truck and trailer run about 25 feet long, so we need a driveway or level surface with enough room to park and back in safely.
  • Time: 1–2 hours on site before service starts, so we can set up properly and catch anything that needs fixing before your guests show up.

Pricing depends on guest count, menu, distance, and how long we're on site — send the form and we'll quote it straight. We keep it quote-only on purpose: a posted minimum can push an event that's a great fit for the truck into pickup catering instead, and we'd rather talk it through with you first.

🥇 1st Place · Hogs for the Cause

A national win for our Maine Lobster Roll.

We took first place for our Maine Lobster Roll at Hogs for the Cause, the national barbecue fundraiser fighting pediatric brain cancer, competing as House of Hogs. It's one of the credentials we're proudest of.

Our crew's booth took 2025 Best Booth and raised $102,811 for the kids.

Why we show up for Hogs for the Cause

Hogs for the Cause is a barbecue competition and fundraiser that helps families cover the real cost of a pediatric brain cancer diagnosis — medical bills, travel, and the everyday expenses insurance doesn't touch. We compete every year, cooking and fundraising alongside teams from around the country as House of Hogs, one of the event's longtime teams.

Chef Ryan Bessette has served as House of Hogs' Head Chef for more than eight years. His dedication and contributions to the team are priceless, and his passion for food and hospitality are next to none.

Downtown Providence sits a few minutes from Rhode Island Hospital, Hasbro Children's Hospital, and the rest of the Brown University Health campus, so for a lot of our guests this isn't an abstract cause — it's the family in the next room. That's part of why we keep coming back.

Across every year we've competed, our best estimate puts the total raised somewhere between $325,000 and $425,000 — and that's before counting what it costs us to be there: closing the restaurant to compete runs an estimated $16,000–$18,000 a year in lost business alone, before labor or food.

None of it happens without the vendors and partners who show up alongside us: Narragansett Brewery, Southern Glazer's, Craft Collective, Twelve Percent Beer, La Marca & Sons, CAMBRO, Ape & Bird, Hedley & Bennett, Blount Seafood, Sysco Foods, Ocean State Pepper Co., Spiceology, US Foods, Falvey Linen, and Foam Brewers. Thank you.
